Veg Week Grape TomoatoeMaybe you want to try some new vegetarian recipes or restaurants. Perhaps you heard Bill Clinton on CNN rave about his plant-based diet. You might have a friend or co-worker who lost weight or got rid of their hypertension with a meat-free, dairy-free eating plan.

Whatever your reason for exploring a plant-based diet, San Diego Veg Week makes it easy. From September 25 through October 2, over 1,200 locals have committed to a meat-free diet. They will receive a daily e-mail with recipe ideas and nutrition tips. Veg Week is now in its third year, and growing with every round.

Activities run every day of Veg Week. You can sample nutrition lectures, cooking demos, shopping tours, movies, and a celebration at the end of the week. You are bound to learn new and important information about food, enjoy tasty treats, and build your self-confidence to make smart food choices. You will be helping yourself, animals, and the planet all at the same time.

Visit the San Diego Veg Week site to learn more and join the fun. You are very welcome to this party.
