How to brew Matcha

You’ve all seen a tea ceremony right? Well, this is a more laid back everyday kind of ritual that allows for a little more sharing and conversation. Courtesy of our friend James over at Halcyon Tea. That’s James in the video by the way, my whisking skills are way to weak to commit to film.

I’ve been alive for roughly 37 years now and have been shooting things for about 30 of them. When I was about 5 years old I had a slingshot. That worked out about as well as you can imagine. I was happily targeting cans when a small bird landed near where I was aiming. Not shooting with particularly rounded rocks proved the end of the bird as the projectile veered tragically off course. These days I have honed my accuracy and changed my weapon. Chad Thompson is a food photographer in San Diego, California.

  • I have sooo many dessert recipes that call for Matcha and wasn't sure where to buy. Now I know I can roll over to Halcyon and pick some up. Great video and review.

They actually carry really good matcha so if the recipe calls for a large amount it might be cost prohibitive. On the other hand a little bit goes a long way.
