Dive Deep for Deliciousness [Panchitas Bakery]

If you’re in the mood to bring something sweet and glam to your next party, while still having time to get yourself looking snappy and snazzy, I have the 411.  These dark chocolate covered coconut macaroons have wowed kids, grandpas, foodies and picky palates.  The secret is to put the pedal to the metal and head to Panchitas Bakery.  I guarantee there will be no brakes on the kudos and compliments.  Panchitas can be found in the Barrio Logan, Golden Hill and City Heights neighborhoods.

  • 12 coconut macaroon cookies (only from Panchitas Bakery)
  • 3/4 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 2 Tbsp butter (accept no substitutions)

Place macaroons 2 inches apart on large piece of wax paper.  In medium bowl, place chips and butter.  Microwave for 1 minute, then stir.  Microwave for 1 more minute and stir.  Drizzle chocolate sauce over each macaroon.  Let sit until chocolate has set.
